LETsure Landlords Household Insurance? -
LETsure Landlords Household Insurance is a competitive policy specially designed for
Landlords letting their residential property either un-furnished, part-furnished or
furnished. The policy is available for Buildings and / or Contents cover.
It is available for houses, bungalows or flats with up to five (5) bedrooms, where the
Building value is between £40,000 and £300,000 and with Contents value up to a maximum
value of £30,000 for furnished properties. For partly furnished property the Buildings
policy can be extended to provide cover for limited Contents up to a maximum value of
£5,000. Cover can be arranged on properties throughout the U.K. and Channel Islands
including properties where the tenants named on the tenancy agreement claim state
benefits.
LETsure Landlords Household Insurance provides cover, excluding the first £50.00 of
each Contents claim or the first £100.00 of each Buildings claim, for all the usual risks
or damage caused by:- Fire / Lightning / Aircraft / Explosion / Smoke / Impact
/ Burst Pipes or Leakage of Oil / Storm or Flood (excluding frost)
/ Malicious Persons (excluding damage by tenants) / Subsidence
(excluding the first £1,000 of each claim under the Buildings section) /
Theft involving forcible or violent entry or exit.
In addition LETsure Landlords Household Insurance provides the following extensions:
DAMAGE BY TENANTS - Loss or damage to the Property not
otherwise insured or recoverable from the Tenant up to a maximum of £2,500.
BUILDINGS SECTION - 1:-Property Owners Liability
Insurance. 2:-Accidental damage to underground water, gas, sewer and drain pipes,
underground electricity and telephone cables extending from the property to the public
supply. 3:-Accidental breakage of all fixed glass including double glazing and fixed
sanitary fittings. 4:-Optional limited Contents cover - the Buildings policy can be
extended to provide cover for carpets, curtains, interior sunblind's and light fittings
and domestic kitchen appliances comprising fridge's, freezers, dishwashers, washing
machines and dryers, cookers and integral microwaves with a replacement value not
exceeding £5,000 in total.
CONTENTS SECTION - 1:-Public Liability Insurance.
2:-Accidental breakage of mirrors, glass in furniture, or ceramic hobs up to £500.
3:-Loss of metered water up to £1,000. 4:-Loss of rent receivable up to 20% of the sum
insured where one of the main specific perils renders the property uninhabitable - This
extension applies to both Buildings and the Contents section.
UNOCCUPIED PROPERTIES - If your property is left
unoccupied between tenancies there is no restriction in cover
under your LETsure Household Policy providing that - The property is inspected at least
every fourteen (14) day's by you or your agents. - The water gas and electricity supplies
must be turned off at the mains and the water systems drained unless central heating is
maintained and the thermostat set to minimum of 15%C (59%F).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? - The premium is
dependant on the postcode of the property and the number of bedrooms (Contents) or the sum
insured for the rebuilding value (Buildings). Quotations can be obtained by using the

HOW DO I ARRANGE COVER? - A completed
proposal form is required before cover can be granted. Proposal forms can be obtained by
using the information request form below, by e-mail, by fax, by telephone. Cover can be
arranged for Buildings insurance only, Contents insurance only or both together to suite
Landlords requirements. Cover is arranged on an annual basis and renewal notices will be
sent to the correspondence address provided on the proposal form.
